How many porta potties do I need?

Count your guests and hours. Then add a few extras.

50 guests

1 unit for up to 4 hours

2 units for a 5–8 hour party.

100 guests

1 unit for 1–2 hours

2 units for 3–6 hours. 3 units for 7–8 hours.

200 guests

2 units for 1–2 hours

3 units for 3–4 hours. 4 units for 5–8 hours.

Alcohol is served. More than half of your guests are women.

Food and access

Serving food? Add 1 handwashing station per 2–3 standard units. Include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.

Jobsite crew?

OSHA: 20 or fewer workers need 1 toilet. Our advice: 1 unit per 10 workers with weekly service.
