How a seasonal porta potty rental bills from opening day to close
A seasonal porta potty rental bills every 28 days from the delivery date until pickup, with weekly service included. A standard unit has a typical starting price of $150 per 28 days, and a wheelchair-accessible unit starts at $225 per 28 days, before tax. We send a reminder 3 days before each new cycle.
Worked example: a youth baseball season
A league takes delivery in early April and ends its season about 100 days later. Four 28-day cycles cover 112 days, so the season bills 4 cycles.
The field needs 2 standard units and 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. That is $525 per cycle at typical starting prices, or $2,100 for the season, plus delivery and pickup from $50 round trip, before tax. Your itemized quote is final.
Cycles are not prorated, so call for pickup near the end of a cycle. Read how cycles and reminders work on the monthly porta potty rental page.

Seasonal setups for pools, fields, camps and marinas
Most seasonal sites run 1–3 standard units with weekly service. Public sites such as ballfields and pools should add at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. Sites with food, such as summer camps and concession stands, add 1 handwashing station per 2–3 units. Busy holiday weekends can add an extra service visit.
| Site | Common setup | Service | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Youth ballfields and leagues | 1–2 standard units plus 1 wheelchair-accessible unit near the bleachers | Weekly; extra visit on tournament weekends | Firm, level path from the parking lot |
| Swim clubs and pools | Standard units plus a handwashing station by the snack bar | Weekly | Keep units outside the pool fence near the lot |
| Farms and orchards | 1 toilet and 1 handwashing station per 20 field workers | Weekly | Within a quarter-mile walk of the crew |
| Campgrounds and marinas | Standard units at overflow sites and boat ramps | Weekly; extra visits on holiday weekends | Truck access on gravel roads |
| Summer camps | Standard units plus handwashing near dining areas | Weekly or twice weekly | Handwashing before every meal |
| Holiday lots | 1 standard unit for staff and shoppers | Weekly | Non-freezing treatment November–March |
For any public site, a wheelchair-accessible porta potty has a ground-level floor, a wide door and handrails.
Farm porta potties and OSHA rule 1928.110
OSHA rule 29 CFR 1928.110 calls for 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for every 20 field workers, set within a quarter-mile walk of the work. A harvest crew of 40 needs 2 toilets and 2 handwashing stations. That is the legal minimum; confirm details with OSHA or your farm advisor, since this is not legal advice.
Read the rule on the OSHA field sanitation standard page. When a crew moves to a far field, ask dispatch about moving the units closer.
A handwashing station has 2 foot-pump sinks and about 22 gallons of fresh water, with no power needed. We refill water and restock soap and towels on each weekly service visit.
Where to set season-long units at a park or field
A season-long porta potty needs level, firm ground and a spot where the service truck can park within about 25 feet every week. Gravel pads and paved lot edges work best. Keep units about 10 feet from concession windows and doors, and off sprinkler heads on a mowed field.
Units that stay all season get mowed around, so set them where mowers and line painters can work. A padlock hasp lets a coach or groundskeeper lock units on off days.
See slopes, surfaces and clearances in the porta potty placement guide.

Winter-season rentals from November through March
Winter-season porta potty rentals run the same 28-day billing and weekly service as summer ones. From November through March, we add non-freezing treatment to the tanks. Handwashing stations can freeze below 32°F, so the hand sanitizer dispenser inside each unit serves as the backup for holiday lots and winter sites.
Christmas tree lots, winter sports fields and off-season marinas all fit this plan. Read the winter porta potty guide for Ohio for freezing tips.

Seasonal rental questions
Can we keep porta potties at the ballfield all season?
A ballfield porta potty can stay all season on a 28-day rental with weekly service included. The rental keeps rolling cycle to cycle until you call or text for pickup, and we send a reminder 3 days before each new cycle. A standard unit has a typical starting price of $150 per 28 days, before tax.
How many toilets does OSHA require for farm workers?
OSHA rule 29 CFR 1928.110 calls for 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for every 20 field workers, within a quarter-mile walk of where they work. A crew of 35 pickers needs 2 toilets and 2 handwashing stations. Confirm the details with OSHA or your farm advisor, since this page is not legal advice.
Can you add extra service for the Fourth of July weekend at our campground?
Extra service visits can be added for a busy holiday weekend, quoted per visit, on top of the weekly service included in the 28-day rental. Ask a few days ahead so dispatch can route the truck. Trucks do not run on Sunday, so a Saturday visit gets units ready for the holiday crowd.
Do you rent porta potties for a Christmas tree lot?
A Christmas tree lot or pumpkin patch can rent a standard porta potty on a 28-day plan with weekly service. From November through March, we add non-freezing treatment to the tank. Handwashing stations can freeze below 32°F, so the sanitizer dispenser inside the unit is the backup in a hard freeze.
Can the season rental start right before the pool opens?
A seasonal rental can start on any delivery day, Monday through Saturday, so schedule delivery a day or two before the pool opens. Billing starts on the delivery date and runs every 28 days. Matching delivery to opening weekend keeps you from paying for empty weeks.
Can a youth league or park district get the sales tax removed?
Tax-exempt leagues, schools and park districts can send their exemption certificate, and sales tax comes off every 28-day invoice. Purchase orders are accepted. Each season invoice is itemized, so a treasurer can see the unit rental, any extra service visits and delivery on one page.
