How fast can we deliver a porta potty in Hamilton County?

Hamilton County is home turf for Mathew Rental Works. Our yard sits at 1756 Tennessee Ave in Bond Hill, inside Cincinnati, the county seat. Call before 12 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and same-day porta potty delivery is usually possible anywhere from Harrison on the Indiana line to Newtown on the Little Miami River.

Bond Hill sits beside the Norwood Lateral, which links I-71 and I-75 in minutes. Trucks take I-74 to the west side, the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway to the northern suburbs, and the I-275 beltway to Sharonville, Springdale and Anderson Township.

A same-day order may add a rush fee. That fee shows on your quote before you pay, and later calls ride the next morning's route.

We serve within Hamilton County every one of its 20 cities, 17 villages and 12 townships. Cincinnati has its own page with neighborhood details. Do you need a permit for a porta potty on a Hamilton County road?

A porta potty on private land in Hamilton County needs no right-of-way permit. A unit inside the right-of-way of a county road falls under the Hamilton County Engineer's permit process. Township roads go through that township, and Cincinnati streets need a city right-of-way permit. Ask the office that owns the road before delivery day.

The Hamilton County Engineer posts its permit application and policies on the county engineer's permits page. Not sure who owns your road? The City of Cincinnati keeps an other permit agencies list that sorts out county, state and city roads.

Most Hamilton County units sit on a driveway, lot or lawn, where no road permit applies. The service truck must park within about 25 feet of the unit, so pick a spot near pavement.

What do Hamilton County health departments mean for event food?

Two health departments work in Hamilton County. Hamilton County Public Health serves much of the county outside Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Health Department covers the city. Food vendors at a festival, fair or block party should check with the right department for food-event rules, because handwashing needs can change your restroom layout.

Start with Hamilton County Public Health for suburban and township events, or the Cincinnati Health Department inside city limits. We do not issue food permits.

Our restroom recommendation is separate from any health rule: add 1 handwashing station for every 2–3 standard units when food is served.

Common porta potty jobs in Hamilton County

Hamilton County porta potty orders lean toward infill construction, road work and big riverfront crowds. The Brent Spence Bridge corridor on I-71/75, the Uptown Innovation Corridor and Oakley and Madisonville infill keep crews busy. Riverfront events at Sawyer Point and Smale Riverfront Park sit on floodplain, so units there need level, firm pads.

Worked example: a 35-worker build in Blue Ash

Under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1, a crew of 20 or more needs 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. One standard unit has both, so 35 workers legally need at least 1 unit.

Our recommendation is different: 1 standard unit per 10 workers on a 40-hour week. That means 4 units with weekly service included.

Worked example: a 300-guest graduation party in Delhi Township

Our event planning table gives 5 standard units for 300 guests over 5–6 hours. Add 1 unit if alcohol is served, plus at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit, for 7 in all. See construction site toilets for longer jobs.

Hamilton County porta potty questions

Do you deliver porta potties outside Cincinnati city limits in Hamilton County?

Every city, village and township in Hamilton County is on our core same-day route, including Harrison, Indian Hill, Colerain Township and Anderson Township. Our trucks leave the Bond Hill yard each morning. Call (513) 270-1174 before noon, Monday through Saturday, and same-day delivery is usually possible.

Who issues the permit if the porta potty has to sit on a road in my township?

A township road in Hamilton County is handled by that township, a county road by the Hamilton County Engineer, and a Cincinnati street by the city Department of Transportation and Engineering. Private driveways and lots need no right-of-way permit. Call the office that maintains the road and confirm before delivery day.

Is delivery cheaper because I'm close to your Bond Hill yard?

Delivery and pickup on our core route typically start at $50 round trip per address, before tax, and every unit on one truck shares that charge. Your ZIP is one of five things that set the price. Your itemized quote is final and lists delivery, pickup, servicing and tax.

Can you leave a porta potty at a Hamilton County park shelter for a weekend reunion?

A unit can sit at a park shelter over a weekend when the park allows it, so ask the park district or city that runs the shelter first. We deliver Friday or Saturday and pick up Monday. Every unit has an occupancy latch, and if vandalism happens, call us and we return to clean.

How early can a unit reach a jobsite in Harrison or Sharonville?

Deliveries run 7 a.m.–7 p.m., and you can request a before-9 a.m. or before-noon window for any Hamilton County address. We cannot promise an exact minute. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes ahead, so your foreman knows when to open the gate.

Do I need a handwashing station for a food truck rally in Hamilton County?

Food-event handwashing rules come from the health department, so check with Hamilton County Public Health, or the Cincinnati Health Department inside city limits. Our own recommendation is 1 handwashing station for every 2–3 standard units when food is served. Each station has two foot-pump sinks and needs no power.
